Everyday English

A general course aimed at students who would like to improve their communication skills in English. The course focuses on all 4 skills of the language, together with grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. Our trained teachers make use of a number of relevant conversation topics in order to facilitate students’ learning.

Teen English

English made fun for our teen learners! Emphasis here is on student-centred teaching, and our young participants learn through communicative activities. At ELA, we try our best to place teens in class on the basis of proficiency level, different nationalities, and age, as well as keeping in mind the right gender balance. 

Junior English (Ages 4 to 12)

The Junior English courses are taught by teachers who have been specifically trained to teach children. Teachers change activities in the classroom roughly every 15 minutes in order to keep the children engaged and focused.

Junior English classes welcome students between the ages of 4 to 12, ensuring that learning English can be a fun and memorable experience for all the family!

Business English Courses

Covering current business methodology, the programme gives the professional an edge in the business environment.

TOEFL iBT Examination Preparation

English Language Academy (ELA) is Malta’s only TOEFL iBT Exam Centre! Our TOEFL Preparation Courses are taught by instructors who are not only top-tier teachers of English, but have been trained by ETS (the company that created and owns the TOEFL iBT exam).

IELTS Examination Preparation

ELA offers preparation courses for both the Academic and General Training modules of IELTS. Our experienced IELTS tutors cover the four skills forming the four sections of the exam using the best available study material on the market. This course is available both as a group or an individual course.

Cambridge Examination Preparation

ELA is fully-equipped to prepare students for all Cambridge ESOL exams. These exams include KET, PET, FCE, CAE, and CPE, ranging between Pre-Intermediate and Proficiency respectively. 

Our highly-trained Cambridge tutors will ensure that you get all the necessary exposure to maximize your chances of a good grade in these sought-after exams. Moreover, our syllabi have recently been updated to reflect the changes brought about in the paper setups of these exams.

Evening Courses

Your work-study balance sorted! This course is designed with the needs of the full-time worker in mind. Three flexible tuition options are available for those who wish to improve upon their overall English skills, but cannot do so during the day due to other commitments.

One Teacher, Two Students courses

A course intended for either two students sharing common interests and approximately of the same level of proficiency, or even couples who feel comfortable studying in each other’s company! As is the case with our Personalised General English courses, students can discuss with their teacher what areas of General English they would like to cover during the course duration.
